Mother’s Day True Wishes

If I am being honest, which I encourage the moms I work with to be, then I’ll admit that on Mother’s Day, I would like some time to myself. When our kids were little, I wanted to have a fun adventure with them, not have to cook all day, and still, time to myself.

Not all moms feel this way. As I always say, every mom is special and unique and experiences the journey of motherhood in her own “right” way. However, when talking to moms with young children over the years, I have met many who feel similarly, and just want a small break from motherhood on Mother’s Day.

I hope you will spend the day as you wish, and find the courage to ask for what you really want. For many moms, it’s not easy putting our needs first. But on at least this day, it’s your turn momma.

Here’s a place to start, a gift for you, to ask for the gifts that may mean the most this year. Maybe you’ll invite others to join you, maybe you’ll cherish some time alone. Either way, it’s your day.

Go ahead, print it out, and share with someone who loves you. Happy Mother’s Day!
